Goodbye to some old frends. Jeff & Nick have gotten some really good career oportunities, and will be leaving the group. Nick has already taken off to Birmingham, and Jeff will be leaving for Mobile in the next few weeks. We are going to miss you guys.
The band will be looking for a New Guitarist & Bass player over the next few weeks. We will stay true to our sound, and spend the time it takes to find the write personalities and styles to fit the band. Untill then, the band has halted touring and working on the new record.
FX's newest album, '200 Hz',is in stores now.
Featuring the single 'ANECDOTES,' the album contains 10 Progressive Rock/ Alternative tunes with rythmic melodies & steadfast choruses. This is the first album put out by the group, who have played & recorded along side of each other, in other bands, over the last 8 years. The album was recorded in Montgomery, AL at FX Recording Studios, Produced by Mike Squires, & Mastered at FX Studios.

Hailing from Montgomery, Alabama, FXXF is a new breed of rock, that blends old world rock with a new twist. The group's sound could be roughly described as somewhere between Soundgarden & Metallica, if they were from the south. The bands songs have very strong and prominent Guitar melodies, backed by driving Bass lines and pounding Drums. The lyrics of FX is what sets them apart though. Mike's choice of words are very different than your standard rock lyrics, with phrases like "Those who dwell in a world of transparent structure should be weary not to ignite ligneous rockets that puncture..."{ANECDOTES} is a word play on your mothers favorite sayings, like: 1- people who live in glass houses should not throw stones, or; 2- it is better to be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Mike has a distinct nack for tieing together social issues, civil unrest, and life's everyday joys and struggles into poetry in motion, like "a social and inexcusable reason for being left on the outside of the world, when all you want is to be seen and to be heard...I Want To Be Just Like You..." {THE DREAMER}.
FXXF is made of former members of the bands 'BINGE' & 'Sesh-Of-Fate' which is Mike Squires(Vox, Guitar), Jeff Price(Guitar), Chris 'Oggy' Ogden(Drums) & Nicki Maddaloni(Bass). Mike, Jeff & Nicki grew up in Eclectic, AL & were the founding members of 'Sesh-Of-Fate' in 1996. Chris, Jeff & Mike collectively made up the band 'BINGE' in 1999. In early 2002, after some great studio collaborations, it was decided to begin a new project....FXXF!

March 22, 2003. Just got some bad news...Jeff just got a gig that he just can't pass up. He will be leaving the group for a new home base in Mobile.

February 19, 2003. Nick has become a teacher, thank God it is in Birmngham. I have known him almost my entire life of 30 years and I would be scared of what my kid could learn from him. Gonna miss you bro. Good luck.
January 1, 2003. Wow, what a show last night thanks to everyone for coming out and having a good time. Sound & Lights were perfect. Chris & Jeff are still recovering from the uuuhmmm 6 groupies that helped them find their way home last night.
December 26, 2002. Mike, Chris & Jeff founded The Montgomery Artists & Musicians Association. This organization is designed to promote the Arts & Entertainment of Montgomery & central Alabama.
November 12, 2002. The band has talked with several record labels, and has decided to strike it out on our own. We felt as though we would have more freedom, and the ability to make more money by paying for our own records, production, and marketing.
August 22, 2002. We had to pass on playing at Tiger Stock, it was really dissapointing, but Chris had to run security at Talladega, and had already commited to doing it. Sorry for dissapointing everyone.
As of July 15, 2002, the album is finished. It will be going to the duplicator this week. Your going to love it.
